Note from tammie:Here is Tyler's next letter. I told him about his friend Samantha who became active in the church after Tyler came back. I went and had my hair cut by her on Friday and I shared with him how great she is doing. So that is what he is talking about in the beginning of his letter. The last statement was an answer to a remark I made to him about how cold it is there~




That is so awesome !!! I love hearing how good Sam is doing, I am so proud and happy for her. I sent Stacy's letter on Thursday !!! She should have got it by now !!! This week was good, we have another really solid investigator who has been coming to church and has a baptismal date for Feb 13th !!!!!! We are so pumped !!! Its awesome to see peoples lives change and for them to recognize when the have found truth and answers to their questions. I spoke in sacrament meeting yesterday and it was on faith and charity and I talked about Grandma Sue so I was crying the whole time !!!! HAHAHA but I also got to talk about Pops and how he has always been a worthy priesthood holder and never complains about a calling that he has had and what an influence he has been to me. I miss you all and love you all a whole lot but I know this is the best thing I have ever done in my life. The blessings that I have experienced through living worthy to have the spirit with me so often is AMAZING !!!! Love you all and talk to you later.


P.s. there is a family in the branch who has a male boxer that is so beautiful !!!!! He reminded me of Zoey, I was petting him forever !!! :]


Well two weeks ago we went out in an ice storm !!!!! We were slippin and sliding all over the place. People were like " are you crazy or something?!!" HAHAHHAA So Stacy got her wish !!! I have been cold !!! Thats right COLD !!!! HAHAHA I wish I had some ice-skates that day

Hey Maa !!! The baptism was amazing yesterday, I baptized Goldie and afterwards I had to take a moment and thank my savior so much for allowing me to perform this ordinance and help someone be baptized through the authority of God. It was such a spiritually filled day yesterday, I love Sundays so much ! It is such an honor to be a missionary. My apartment is nice !!! It was filthy from the last missionaries which ticked me off but we cleaned it really good last P-day. I scrubbed the crap out of the bathroom !!! Made me sick !!!! HAHAA I still haven't bought a helmet but will soon. I get so many compliments on my bike still, I told my comp. that its the 1st time in my life that I have been the kid withe cool bike and then I told him the story of when I got the golden hawk bike for my 10th birthday HAHAHAHAA !!! I'm so glad to hear that Stacy came over the other day, I was jealous cause I miss my Ladys Alfredo patsa !!! :] Thats pretty crazy that the new house is like our old one. We also taught this old guy (Eldon) the other day and he had never heard of the 1st vision or much about the church and he was very interested. Poor guy suffered a stroke before and has a hard time getting out what he wants to say. But he came to church with us on Sunday and everyone made him feel very welcomed and then during the 2nd hour we left the room for a moment to check on the font and we came back and he was gone !!! HAHAHHAA we called him and asked him how he liked church and he said he loved it. Then we said, "you took off out of nowhere there Eldon, did you need to get some lunch or something?" He said yes, he needed to get some lunch HAHAHA but he still wants to meet with us so that is cool. We also taught a Mexican couple who aren't married and she has a 11 year old daughter. And they totally recognized the spirit and she (Rosie) said that it was amazing the way she felt ! It was so awesome to experience that. They said they would come to church but ended up not coming :[ but they still want to meet with us ! Being a missionary is all about ups and downs but I try to stay focused on the ups ! I miss you all so much but I know this is what Lord wants me doing. We had interviews with President and sister Pfile yesterday and they were great. Its so awesome how in tuned with the spirit sister Pfile is, she is such a great woman and so kind and loving. Its amazing how you asked me if I could feel every ones prayers Maa cause the other night during my personal prayers I thanked God for all of your prayers and support and all the sudden I felt so much love and could really feel all of your prayers and the spirit hit me hard, I am so thankful for those prayers. I feel each and every one of them and they help me cause I need them ! :] This is the church of Jesus Christ and the permission to act in Gods name (the authority) is back on the earth, just as prophets of old were called to prepare the people of the day of Jesus' birth and reign on the earth to establish his church... there has been prophets called to prepare Gods children for the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, these are the latter days. I love my savior and will do my best to represent him and my family while I serve now and for the rest of my life here on earth. I have already seen miracles and look forward to many more. I love you all !!!!!!!

Hey Toots !!! It has been a busy time since we talked. My mission president and his wife are so awesome, I feel so lucky and blessed to have them. The 1st night when we got there we stayed at the mission home which was really nice. My trainer is a really cool guy, he is from Bakersfield CA !!! Cool huh? He has been giving me some really great advice and is helping me through my feelings of doubt. Satan is constantly working on me Toots. It has been a hard 1st week. Of course I got sent to the furthest part of the mission ! I'm in Colby Kansas !!! After the transfer meeting and getting assigned to my trainer, we had to drive 7 hours to our area. It is a very humbling place, population like... 5,000. Tiny houses and a lot of straight Kansas Hillbillies but there are also a lot of normal people. The people are very nice. But like I said Satan has been working on me and I have been feeling inadequate and have been having trouble with rejection. I have to keep a constant prayer in my heart asking God to give me strength and faith and keep pressing forward. Elder Andersen and I gave each other a blessing last night and it was awesome and much needed. Prayer is so powerful Stace, I have already seen strength in myself when I rely on prayer and relying on God. We were "flushed" into this area which means we are both new to the area and it is tough at 1st to figure out everything that's going on. I felt really sorry for Elder Andersen because he was stressing out the night before we met because he was being "flushed", training for the 1st time, and being called as district leader ... ya, poor guy. HAHA But he has been doing a great job. He said he was so pumped when he found out he was training me. He always tells me how ahead of the game I am because I am comfortable talking to people and have such a strong testimony. He has really been showing me the importance of teaching very simply, and to not make it so complicated and it has helped a ton. He gets a kick out of me in everything I do, he's always laughing and then says "sorry, I need to work on not laughing all the time, I can't help it cause everything you do makes me laugh!" hahaha he's a funny guy. But we get along great. Mondays are our P Day's. We have been continuing to teach a woman named Goldie who has a 4 yr old boy and 3 yr old daughter. The boy is a big kid and reminds me of me ! HA He always wants to beat me up when we come over hahaha its hilarious. She has a baptismal date set for this Sunday so we are really pumped ! Hopefully everything goes well. We also continued to teach a 23 yr old couple Paul and Serenity who have a daughter and a 5 month old boy. Its the 1st time that I have had to experience knowing that they felt the spirit when I bore my testimony (Serenity was in tears) and they still would not commit to be baptized and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. They loved the Plan of Salvation and wanted it to be true. So now its up to them to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if its true because we told them that if it is true, then everything else we taught you is true and there is a living prophet on the earth again just as there has been in ancient times. So they said they would read and pray. But its tough being a missionary but it is also the most rewarding !!! I love it ! Times get tough and I know they will only get tougher but I know this is Christ church and I will continue to do his work. I love you with all my heart Toots .

P.s. could you you somehow let Austin Kennedy know that I got his letter and really appreciated it and am so happy for his new family that has begun :]
P.P.s tell Tyler Hansen that I love him and appreciate his words of encouragement

If anyone wants to send packages they have to send it ( 1st class mail) and to send it to the mission home address( Colorado Springs Mission 4090 Center Park Drive Colorado Springs, CO 80916) then they we send it to where I am at, this is the best way for packages because if someone sends a package and I have been transferred ... I don't get it and never will.

I asked Tyler a bunch of questions that he was supposed to answer and mail back to me.....instead he answered them all in his email! So kind of a boring letter this
week due to my dumb questions! Ha! Looking forward to talking to him on the 10th!




Yes I met the Elder from Mesa, it was crazy !!! Small world, he is a really nice kid. Everyone loved my Pj's !!!! :] No one has gotten really homesick which is good. My personal study time has been pretty good over all, except when I get to the Isaiah chapters in 2 Nephi ... HAHA. The laundry room is a big ... laundry ... room. It takes about an hour. Weird question by the way. The food is getting really old !!!!! Can't wait to eat some real food. Weigh about the same but feel like I have lost a little weight, at least I hope! HA. We don't get to exercise everyday which is a bummer but will when I get into the mission field. I play basketball usually when we do have gym. My shoes are good. Please send me some abreva for cold sores. thanks ! Im doing great and can't wait to get to Colorado Springs. I will be able to call home on the 10th at the airport so be ready Maa, Im gonna call your cell. :] talk to you then LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!!
